St. Francis School, Jettihundi, is an unaided Christian Minority Institution established in 2008 by the Congregation of the Missionary Brothers of St. Francis of Assisi. The School is a UNIT of the Jyothi Seva Society, a non-profitable and charitable society headquartered in Bangalore.
The School follows the syllabus of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and the medium of instruction is English. With the recognition granted by the CBSE, the School has become a full-fledged institution with classes up to the Secondary Level. It is a co-educational institution and admission is open to children of all communities irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region.
Nestled in the lush green campus, the school has an impressive and silent atmosphere with essential amenities required for all round development of students. It is spread over 10 acres of land with a spacious play ground. The adjacent Portiuncula Renewal Centre and Chapel in the campus stand tall as a proud possession of our heritage. The sprawling school campus abounds in various sports facilities to students. The school lays emphasis on individual attention to each student and therefore the School has a low student: teacher ratio.
St. Francis School was established in the year 2008. The school is a religious (Roman Catholic) minority educational institute. The Government of India, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions was pleased to declare in July 2013 that St. Francis School ‘is a Minority Educational Institution’ within the meaning of section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institution Act 2004 covered under article 30 of the Constitution of India.
